Females
Baby Baby
Peruvian Kordero x Riley Sassafras Lady
April 2006
Suri and Sassy Female Cria!
When we purchased Baby's mother, Sassy, at the 2005 Gold Rush sale, we
knew it was too much to hope for that we would get a suri offspring by
the large-framed Sassafras and Kordero. What a wonderful surprise when
Sassy not only gave us a suri baby, but such a gorgeous female that
we instandly fell in love!
Baby is a true suri girl in a beautiful, taupe gray color. She has wonderful shapely ears, straight topline, correct conformation and is upright and strecthy. Baby's sire Kordero is an ALSA Halter Champion. Hermother is the big Sassafras Lady, who is by Peruvian Amigo, the Grand National Halter Champion, and out of BAL Copy Me, by Silver Peru. With these incredible genetics, and suri to boot, how can you go wrong?
Baby has become a farm favorite with her friendly yet precocious personality. Baby will be available after she is weaned, if we can make ourselves part with her! Come take a look and be the one to show her and add her awesome potential to your suri breeding program!
Vana (proven bred female)
Whist x Vignette
DOB June, 1998
Vana is likely the largest female of our many big girls, hailing from Kay Patterson's program. She has the long upright neck of the El Fuerte line, and passes that valuable trait to her offspring. Vana has taken Champion in the show ring, and is a proven champion-producer with strong, tall, large babies with super banana ears. She is an excellent milker, and although she is medium wool, her fiber is fine and her babies have good fiber coverage, showing in medium and heavy wool classes. All of her offspring are excellent show and breeding stock. Vana is an excellent foundation female, with the size and mothering abilities that we want in our program. She is the mother of YW Vanadium (owned by Marlene and Carl Gruetter), YW Voyager (owned by Tom Andrews) and YW Valkyrie, by Smokin Gun, who we are retaining in our program.
We are offering Vana bred to your choice of males. Imagine getting a suri offspring with Vana's size, substance, and ears! Her fine-fibered babies have all been large and impressive. She will satisfy the showman and breeder of big, strong llamas bred to your choice of our show-winning males!
Bolivian Glamour Girl(proven bred female)
Bolivian Lucky 500 x Bolivia's Glitz
DOB January, 1997
Large Full Bolivian; Excellent Mother and Milker
"GG" is a full Bolivian girl from Tillman's '96 Bolivian importation lines. She is a big girl with awesome capacity, a real gem from rare Bolivian lines. She is an excellent mother and milker, with babies that average over 30 pounds at birth. GG has had tall, elegant babies with excellent fiber and breeding potential. GG lost the tips of her ears to frostbite when she was born. She is the dam of Bolivian Lil'GiGi (Steve and Nancy Pasko), YW Bolivian Gidget (John and Marvel Maddy), YW Gossamer Cruz (Tom and Judy Ross) and YW Geisha Cruz (Rebecca Wood).
GG is offered bred to your choice of any of our males. You will find that GG is unrelated to almost any other bloodlines. We have full Bolivian, full Chilean, and excellent North/South American stud males, so you make the choice on which male for GG! She can also be bred to Star Adonis for a shot at that suri fiber!
YW Touch Gold(proven bred female)
LW Captain Curry x Tillman's Golddust
DOB October, 1997
Proven Producer with Silky Fiber
Touch Gold is a half Bolivian girl from our foundation Herdsire LW Captain Curry and Tillman's Golddust (one of the last Lopez daughters). She has had two babies and is a good mother. She has an easy going temperament like all our "Curry Girls."
Tall and elegant, Touch Gold distinguished herself in the show ring with a Grand Champion for Golddust's Produce of Dam at the Great Lakes Regional and a 4th place at the Grand Nationals.
Touch Gold is available with your choice of breedings to any unrelated male. We highly recommend Star Adonis, our newest Suri male, to breed to Touch Gold. Touch Gold's grandsire, Lopez, is the sire of Federico, the suri foundation sire of the East Fork suri program producing such greats as Riny's King Crimson. This genetic heritage with the Willie K/Kissam background on the top side give Touch Gold a strong genetic potential for producing suri offspring.
Males
YW Sand Pebble Cruz (Male)
PPF Pablo Cruz x Grace and Favor of King Mountain
Born: 10 May 2004
Silky, Shiny, Stretchy, and Appy!
Silky/Suri-Type Future Herd Sire
Sand Pebble is a gorgeous soft appy with perfect ears and high luster, locked fiber. He is tall and stretchy, with strong conformation and movement and very nice bone. He is big for his age, and as he grows, he seems to just keep getting better and better! This boy would make a great herdsire for someone wanting to show and then have a silky male for breeding. Update: Pebble has accumulated several ALSA points in tough showing such as the Grand Slam and Millenium Magic. And he took 4th place the Millenium Magic Futurity, where suri's and traditional llamas competed in the same class! He is also qualified for the 2005 and 2006 Regionals!
YW Hot Java (Male)
Incspot x "Princess" Summer Fall Winter Spring
Born: November 2003
Suri-type "Wet Look" Fiber, Stretchy, and Classic Jet Black!
Silky/Suri-Type Future Herd Sire with Heavy Fiber Coverage
A proven show winner, Java has shiny, crimpy suri-type fiber with lots of lock structure. His jet black fiber has the greasy feel and natural wet-look that is so popular in Futurity shows, and will always demand the judge's attention. Java is out of Princess, one of our top producers, who consistently gives us offspring that take both ALSA and Futurity championships. Java's full brother, Curious Cat, has won ALSA champion, Best in Show and First Place at the Millenium Magic Futurity, as well as 7th at Nationals. Java has already won First place in the "Hot Mama Llama Futurity" in Class 1 at the International Livestock Show at only 5 months of age! With Java's conformation, topline, tail set, and awesome fiber, he is likely to surpass his older siblings! Be the one to own him and win with him!
Smokin' Vin Fizz (Male) "Sale Pending"
Smokin Gun x Bardo's Gypsy
Born: 27 October 2004
This guy is really neat! He has incredible fiber coverage, down to his toes, and covering his entire head and ears. You just have to see him! He inherits heavy bone from both his sire and dam; the well-known Bardo's Gypsy is recognized for her massive bone. Under that gray, silky fiber, Vinnie has pale appy spots, no doubt from his colorful appaloosa sire, Smokin Gun. We are looking forward to showing Vinnie, and letting people see him in person; the photos do not do him justice. If you want bone, wool, and are looking for bloodlines that are not overused, this guy is just the ticket!
