Perhaps you have read Lewis’ Story on our website. Lewis is still doing very well. He is always the first llama to great visitors to the farm; which is quite remarkable since he has been totally blind from birth and walks with a significant limp following his long ordeal with a badly broken leg and a life threatening infection following surgery.

I snapped this photo a few mornings ago while heading to the barn to check the other llamas. Lewis met me just inside the barnyard gate letting me know that he was expecting his morning back rub! He is not pushy, but he will follow you around using his keen sense of hearing until you finally give in and give him a minute or two of good back scratching! He moans softly, acknowledging his appreciation.
