In August, the Delta Society Pet Partners from around Indy gathered at the annual Spina Bifida Society picnic in Greenwood, Indiana. After the animals shared time with the children and their families, the Pet Partners gathered for a group photo. Animal Assisted Activities and Therapy are enjoyed by the Pet Partner teams and the many children and adults that they reach out to year after year.
Michele the llama and her partner, Laura, have been honored to work with this group and enjoy the smiles and happiness that come from sharing our love for our animal companions with so many other special people.

Laura and Michele also want to thank their “behind the scenes” partner, Fred, for taking all the photos, driving the llama van, and taking the time to give Michele her fresh hairdo’s before every event!

Michele and the children made friends with all the other teams including dogs, cats, and a miniature horse. Many of the these teams have served the community for several years.
